Joyce Ellen Breisch, 67, of Newcastle, NE, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family. A dedicated wife and mother, Joyce’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her work.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Congregational United Church of Christ, 300 Annie Street Newcastle, NE 68757. Flower arrangements can be delivered to the Church.
Joyce was born on November 11, 1957, in Winner, South Dakota, the daughter of Harry and Kathryn (Martensen) Cole. She graduated from Winner High School and pursued further education at college in Huron, South Dakota. She spent over 30 years as an integral member of the Target team, first in Norfolk, Nebraska, before transferring to Sioux City, where she rarely missed a day of work. Her dedication and work ethic were exemplary, and she made lasting connections with both colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joyce was deeply passionate about her home and family. She cherished her time engaged in hobbies such as sewing, knitting, and crocheting. A true lover of the farm life, Joyce took great pride in caring for her livestock, which included bucket calves, laying hens, and beloved cats. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and was known for her nurturing spirit.
Joyce was an active member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, where her faith guided her daily life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Clint Breisch of Newcastle, Nebraska; her children: Mandi (Brandon) Buker of Murdock, Nebraska, Katy Armour (Shawn Keesee) of Bellevue, Nebraska, Dustin Armour of Randolph, Nebraska, and Dillon (Johanna) Armour of Randolph, Nebraska. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kyasa and Colrik Buker, Avery "Punky" Armour, Nevaeh Armour, and Marshall and Samuel Armour.
Joyce is also survived by her siblings: Connie Powell of Mitchell, South Dakota, Alice Konvalin Grohs of Winner, South Dakota, Doris (Dick) Morgan of Helena, Montana, Lyle (Bonnie) Cole of Mitchell, South Dakota, and Janice (Dale) Knoll of Sedalia, Missouri; and sister-in-law Eunice Cole of Winner, South Dakota.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Sam Cole, and her brother-in-law Don Powell. Her legacy of love and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
