Joyce Marie Davis

Joyce Marie Davis, age 73, of South Sioux City, Nebraska died on Saturday August 14, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness.Funeral services will be held on 10 am Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Ring officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen cemetery at Walthill, Ne. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.Joyce was born on November 27, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Roger and Bernice (Saltgiver) Bruneau. Joyce attended Sioux City schools. She was united in marriage with Lloyd Davis on December 1, 1953.Joyce is survived by her husband Lloyd of South Sioux City, her three sons Brad Davis, of Illinois, Chuck Davis and his wife Michelle of Rosalie, Nebraska, and John Cain and his wife Michelle of South Sioux City, and her daughter Sheila King of South Sioux City. Joyce is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, her three sisters Sandra Frese and her husband Herman of South Sioux City, Carol Kruse and her husband Leonard of South Sioux City, and Faye Olson and her husband Norman of Redding, California, along with many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Roger Davis, and a granddaughter Charity Cain.Joyce was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. There was not anything that she would not do for you, and she was always there for you when you needed her.
