Judith F. Clary

Judith F. Clary, 75, of Newcastle, NE passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. Burial will be in the Obert Cemetery in Obert, NE. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Judith was born on April 28, 1942 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Wayne Woodrow and Dorothy Henrietta (Crombie) Blatchford. After the loss of her father, her mother remarried to Orville Hoesing of Newcastle and Orville was a wonderful step-father, raising she and her sister, Karen. She later joined St. Peter's Catholic Church of Newcastle and later in life upon returning to Newcastle, she became a member of the Gospel Chapel Church. Judith attended Newcastle Public School and South Sioux City High School and was a graduate of Briar Cliff College of Sioux City, IA. Judy married Phillip Stotland and was blessed with four children: Carl Anthony, Lisa Jean, Stephanie Ann, and Marla Marie. Judy lived most of her life in the South, and eventually came back to live in Newcastle to take of her mother.Survivors include her four children; 8 grandchildren; her sister, Karen of South Sioux City, NE; and many cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father.Pallbearers are Alfred Hoesing, Rodney Hoesing, Clair Hoesing, Dan Hansen, Kenneth Koch, and Brian Ptak.
