Judith "Judi" Marie Belt

Judith “Judi” M. Belt, 72, of Sgt. Bluff, IA, passed away July 28, 2022 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 3^rd at 11:00 a.m. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home 1431 W. 29^th St. South Sioux City, NE.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Judi was born on April 12, 1950 in Pender, NE to Perry and Marie (Davenport) Tompkins.  After high school she went on to attend college and began her career as an accountant.  Judi also worked as a buyer and seller for grain commodities before retiring in 2015.  She was united in marriage to Darrel Belt on December 27, 1969.  Together they enjoyed camping, taking care of the farm and livestock, and spending time with grandchildren.  Judi also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and doing ceramics and painting.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Darrel Belt, Sgt. Bluff, IA; children: Bryan (Carrie) Belt, Indianola, IA, Tiffany (Cary) Heimes, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren: Payton, Cooper, Zoey, Tenley, Tatum and Taylor; siblings: Gloria Bligh, Jane Kinman, Elaine Rassmussen, Bonnie Schmidt, Perry Tompkins, Fritz Tompkins, and Bill Tompkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
