Judy A. Hathaway

Judy A. Hathaway, 82, of Sioux City, IA passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City. Abiding her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com

Judy was born on November 6, 1940, in Buffalo, NY to Mick and Mary (Denis) Hanna of Grand Island, NY. She had an older sister, Joan. She graduated from Tonawanda High School in Tonawanda, NY in 1958. Judy married Leon Hathaway on May 14, 1960, and moved to Sioux City, IA. To this union they had two children: Michael, and Jennifer. They later divorced. Judy retired from The Sioux City Journal on September 23, 2005, after 27 years of service. Her greatest accomplishment were her two wonderful children.

Judy is survived by her son, Mike (Deanna) Hathaway of Sioux City and son-in-law, Jeff Watterson of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Watterson, sister, Joan and special niece, Jeanne (DeDe) McGinnis.
