She then graduated from WIT and then Jackson University with her bachelor's degree in nursing. Julie married Michael Jenkins on May 31, 1980. Julie was very artistic. She was an amazing painter. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, coloring, and playing bingo. She had a great eye for decorating and interior design and often gave advice and did room renovations for those that she loved the most. She cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. Her grandkids meant the world to her.
Julie is survived by her husband, Michael Jenkins of Sioux City; children, Jennifer (Ron) Eaton of Sioux City, Jerod (Jenn) Jenkins of Sioux City, and Jada Jenkins of Des Moines; siblings, Terry Sullivan of Sioux City, Shawn (Nancy) Sullivan of Sioux City, and Pam (Mitch) Lower of Salix; and grandchildren, Ryan, Jace, Cora, and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
