Julie A. Solomon

   Julie Ann Solomon, 76, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

   A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Peace Reformed Church (4100 Outer Dr. N.) in Sioux City with Pastor Jason Van Wyk officiating. No visitation is planned. Following the service, please join the family at the church for a luncheon and a time of sharing memories of Julie. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

Julie was born March 30, 1946 in Sioux City, IA to parents Julian (Torgy) and Joyce Torgerson. She graduated from Central High School in the class of ’64. She enjoyed attending classes at Wayne State College, Floral design school in Denver, CO. and Beauty School in Lawrence, KS where she raised her two children until moving to Sioux City in 1986. Julie retired from Mid Step Services after 28 years as a caregiver for people with special needs. Caring for people and floral designing were her passions. She loved sharing stories and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded by her brothers, Tommy Dale and Van Torgerson, Nephew, Reed Hanke, Aunt and Uncle, Lee and Nancy Clopper, Her parents, Julian and Joyce Torgerson.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis and Craig Solomon. Brothers, Don and Dean Torgerson. Sisters, Jeanie Haas and Nancy Hanke. Grandchildren, Keaton Solomon, Morgan (Mike) Kaduce, Carter, Lauren and Taylor Solomon, as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews that she loved all so dearly.
