Karen was born the daughter of Ivan and Delia (James) Bellis on October 17, 1945 in Bloomfield, Nebraska.  She graduated from South Sioux City High School.  Karen married Bill Boyle on January 25, 1964 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson.  After their marriage they made their home in South Sioux City for many years before building a home and moving to Dakota City in 1996. Bill died in 2003.

Karen was a devoted wife and an amazing stay at home mom. After her kids got older she worked many part time jobs. One of Karen’s favorite jobs after Bill passed was working at Walmart because she got to see and catch up with so many people she’d normally never get to see.

Karen enjoyed being on the move but her top 3 favorite pastimes would have been attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events, watching her husband’s Friday night ball games, and boating with all of her family on the weekends.

Karen is survived by her children, Dawn Likes of Omaha, Trudi (John) Estochen of Dakota City, Russ Boyle of Sioux Falls, and Billi (Ronnie) Eastman of Omaha; sister, Lorraine (Lyle) Hankins of Obert; grandchildren, Brittni (Scott) Madden, Brooke Likes, Cory (Miranda) Estochen, Dustin (Jessica) Estochen, Amber (Adi) Cizmic, Tyler Boyle, Hope Boyle, Ali Eastman, and Nolan Eastman; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hadley, Haven, Halsey, Drake, Ava, Olivia, Emery, Aiden, Kinleigh, Brooks, Ella, Blake, and Presley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and her husband Bill, the love of her life.
