Karen Faith (Miller) LeFebvre, 76, of Moville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 9, 2023 at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Lloyd Grant officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Karen was born September 9, 1946 to Chalmers and Bernice (Ridley) Miller. She was raised on a farm near Mapleton, Iowa and attended and graduated from Maple Valley in 1965. After graduation she worked for Mutual of Omaha in the underwriting department in Omaha, Nebraska. In June of 1965, Karen married Don Waderich in Mapleton, IA at St. John’s Methodist Church. To this marriage, three children were born. After 18 years of marriage, the couple divorced.
For 12 years Karen taught Emergency Technician Classes in the Danbury, Mapleton, Anthon, and Oto areas and helped serve as a training officer on the Danbury Ambulance Service. In January of 1986 Karen married John LeFebvre helping to raise his two sons ages 3 and 6 at their marriage.
John and Karen lived 25 years in Sioux City where Karen worked in the kitchens of the Burger King Company. The couple then moved to Moville, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband John LeFebvre, three children: John (Candace) Waderich, Mindi (Kevin) Boyle, and Suzanne (Billy) Wabashaw; two step-sons Zachary LeFebvre and Chad LeFebvre; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren with two in the oven; sister Marsha Bell; brother Steven (Grace) Miller; two nieces and two nephews; cousins; many friends; and John’s family.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and John’s dad Ronald LeFebvre.
