Karla J. Fergen

Karla J. Fergen, 53, of Sergeant Bluff, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Karla was born the daughter of Gerald and Jerilynne (Goergen) Fergen on July 5, 1966 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School.  She earned a human resources degree from Bellevue University. 

She worked for Slumberland for 18 years.  She was currently working for Woodbury County Human Resources.  A job she really enjoyed. 

Karla enjoyed crocheting, taking photos, and family vacations.  She loved Harry Potter and anything Disney.  She had the gift of gab and enjoyed visiting with and getting to know people. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for later designation. 

Karla is survived by her children, Josh Fergen of Sioux Falls, Karissa Fergen of Sergeant Bluff, and Aleia Fergen of Sergeant Bluff; mother, Jeri Fergen of South Sioux City; brother, Rick (Pamela) Fergen of Waxhaw, North Carolina; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandson.
