Kathryn Marie Chase, 64, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at a local care facility.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 with a visitation with family present from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1201 W Clifton Ave. Private burial will be held at Logan Cemetery at a later date. Kathryn was born June 18, 1956 in Sioux City, the daughter of Gustave and Patricia (Rohlmiller) Bohlmann. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. Following graduation, she attended Western Iowa Technical Community College and earned her Associate’s Degree in nursing. Kathryn worked at Marian Health Center, now MercyOne Hospital, as a nurse for many years. She briefly worked in other facilities as a nurse until returning to MercyOne until her retirement. On October 14, 1994, Kathryn married Burton Frank Chase Jr. in Elk Point, South Dakota.
Kathryn’s pride and joy were her children. She was a true Republican and enjoyed watching Fox News. She loved her dogs (Monika, Harry and Brownie) and listening to ABBA and the Bee Gees. She also enjoyed sewing, streaming TV, and history.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Burton Frank Chase Jr. of Sioux City; children Amy (Randy) Huls, Laura (William) McArdle, Kaitlyn (Trenton) Davis, Andrew Chase, Molley Chase, all of Sioux City; grandchildren Emily, Caleb, Carter, Zachary, Hailey, Mya; brothers Willie (Annette) Bohlmann of Hayden, AL, sister Connie (Keith) Kroksh of Ashland, NE, Mark (Judy) Bohlmann of Ankeny, IA, Keith Bohlmann (Toni Poznanski) of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Luke Kroksh
