Kathy Jo Giese

Kathy Jo Giese, age 67, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Mohr Funeral Home, 1431 W. 29th Street, South Sioux City, NE with Father Anthony Weidner officiating. Visitation with the family present will begin at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.She was born on September 21, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert H. Giese and Patsy Marie Cahill. Kathy was a 1968 graduate of South Sioux City High School and attended Wayne State College.Kathy worked for many years in the food industry where she retired from Sysco Foods. Kathy loved spending time in her garden, biking, sewing, cooking, and watching her Cornhuskers and Spurs. She also enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports and could talk sports with the best of them. Post retirement, she spent her free time working for Bending Branch Winery.Kathy is survived by her daughters, Kristina Wrona of Bentonville AR and Kasey Harrison of Bella Vista AR; parents, Robert H. and Patsy Giese; sisters, Julie Towler and husband Jim, Sheila Jungers and husband Mark; brothers, Bob Giese and wife Nancy, David Giese and wife Tami; grandchildren, Mike Fields and wife Lauren, Katlin Patton, Coin Patton, Brendan Wrona, Kellen Wrona, Hannah Crouse; great granddaughter, Paisley Kendrick; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.She was preceded in death by her son, Duke Barron; daughter, Lori Trvdy; grandparents, Henry and Helen Giese and John and Cecilia Cahill
