Kathyrn Lenore Evans

Kathryn Lenore Evans, 72, of Sioux City passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Kathryn was born February 4, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa, one of twelve children born to Roland and Elizabeth (Ahart) Eickholt.  She graduated from Eastwood High School in Correctionville and attended WITCC in Sioux City.  Kathryn was married to Reno Evans Jr. and to this union, three children were born. Kathryn worked as a Youth Worker for the Juvenile Detention Center for 28 years.  She also worked as a processor for the City of Sioux City.  Kathryn enjoyed reading, puzzles, and bird watching, but her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their activities.

Survivors include her children:  Brent (Nancy) Eickholt of Sioux City, Courtney Gorman of Sioux City, and Amber Eickholt of Sioux City; grandchildren:  Byron Eickholt, Keisha (Michael) Nichols, Kylee Eickholt, La’Stacia Gorman, Emonie Gorman, Sta’Sean Gorman, DeAundre Eickholt, DeJah Eickholt, and DeAngelo Eickholt; one great granddaughter:  Elliana Nichols; siblings:  Ronald (Sherri) Eickholt, Paul Eickholt, Jim Eickholt, Mary (Joe) Wiltgen, Laurie Comer, Maureen Haroldson, Roberta Wattleworth, Leonard Eickholt, Jon (Debra) Eickholt, Harlan (Penny) Eickholt, and Colin Eickholt (Brenda Volkert); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
