Keith Rhodes

   Keith Rhodes, 85, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

   A Sharing of Memories service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will follow the service.

   Edwin “Keith”, the son of Edwin and Mary (Corbin) Rhodes, was born July 2, 1936 in Casper, WY.  Keith grew up in Dubois, WY.  After high school, he served a short time in the United States Navy.  His working years included helping his dad and brother with their construction business and then working for the railroad for several years.

   On January 12, 1975, Keith was united in marriage to Mary Jane “Dorothy” Nelson in Cherokee, IA.

   Over the years, Keith enjoyed horseback riding, watching Westerns, doing crafts and writing.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.  In addition, he truly loved his grand pups: Oliver, Layla and Tobey.

   Keith is survived by three children: Dusty (Shelly) Rhodes, Jody Rhodes and Melissa Rhodes; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Dale (Sandy) Rhodes.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; and one grandchild in infancy.
