   Keith Alan Sorgdrager, 73, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by family and friends following a 3-year battle with cancer.

   Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Logan Park Cemetery (3901 Stone Park Blvd.) in Sioux City. No visitation is planned. Following the graveside service, please join the family for a luncheon and time of fellowship at Faith Lutheran Church (3101 Hamilton Blvd.) in Sioux City.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

   Keith Alan Sorgdrager, the son of James and Gladys Sorgdrager (stepmother) and Bernice Smith, was born January 20, 1949 in Sioux City.  He grew up and attended school in Sioux City. As a teenager, Keith spent much of his time with his uncle/second father Warren Sorgdrager at his farm. Keith graduated from Leeds High School.

   On October 2, 1973, Keith was united in marriage to Lynn Moravek and from this union three children were born: Melanie, Chad, and Heather.

   For most of Keith’s working years, he owned and operated his own lawn service company. He was an avid hunter and was an avid New York Yankees and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

   He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Jeromy) Vedral; son, Chad (Mary Jo) Sorgdrager; daughter, Heather Sorgdrager; granddaughter, Hailey Groendyk; stepson, Austin; sister-in-law, Diana Miley; and other relatives and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Sorgdrager; and many uncles; aunts; and cousins.

   Memorials may be directed to Keith’s family.

   Pallbearers for Keith's service will be: Chad Sorgdrager, KC Beaulieu, Roy Baker Sr., Roy Baker Jr., Chris Hanner and Mark Sweisberger.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Ron Stabile, Ronnie Stabile, Herb Fischer, and Jerry Weimer.
