Kenneth “Butch” Milo Hall passed away at home on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 82 after a hard-fought battle with colon cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City with Pastor Chuck Stanga officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca, NE.
Butch was born in Ponca, Nebraska on January 18, 1942, to Elmer and Doris (Gran) Hall. He attended school at Ponca High School. At the age of 16, he began his truck driving career with Scollard’s Produce and continued driving for Boyer Valley, Cooper Feeds, Master Mix, and Zimco.
Butch married Helen Ann Harder on May 22, 1959, in Sioux City, Iowa. They had seven children. Butch enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, keeping up his lawn and Husker football.
Butch is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen; children, Curtis (Saumbra), Becki (James) Divis, Valerie (David) Hansen, Chance, Travis (Kim), a bonus son, Jimmy Butts; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Conrad; and brothers, Gary and Ben Hall.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Doris (Gran) Hall; parents-in-law, Bill and Josephine Harder; daughter, Jacki (1978); son, Chad (2003); grandson, Heath (2003); sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice (Tarz) Koeppe, Phyllis (Larry) Addison, Peggy (Eddie) Beckner, Jean (Ward) Linscott, Judy (George) Traudt, and Kenneth Conrad; and brother and sister-in-law, Lyle (Julie) Hall.
