Kevin Paul Witzka, 63, of Sioux City passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at a local hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 5, 2021, also at the chapel.
Kevin was born August 10, 1957 in South Sioux City, NE, the son of Emil Sr. and Dora (Carver) Witzka. He was raised in South Sioux City and graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1977. After graduation, he began working at Donnelly Marketing in South Sioux City where he met his future wife. On April 13, 1985, he married Susan Hartung in Sioux City. To this union, 5 children were born. The family settled in Sioux City. Kevin worked at many places including Western States, Gateway, Morningside College, and Walmart on Floyd Blvd until his health forced him to retire.
Kevin was a loving person; he had a big heart and was a father-figure to many. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, muscle cars, playing baseball, and watching many programs such as westerns, wrestling, golf, Cops, and cooking shows.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Susan Witzka of Sioux City; children Emil III (Christina) Witzka, Jeff (Mavis) Witzka, Ryan (Tia) Witzka, Candy (Robert) Beldin, all of Sioux City; grandchildren Liliana, Jessie, Addison, Angel, Mary, Caylin, Chloey, Emil IV, Ciara, Cara, Finley Witzka, Raelynn and Kynlee Beldin; brothers Bill Witzka of Sioux City, Jim Witzka of Sioux City, Randy Witzka of Lawton, IA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Emil Jr., Donald, Robert, Vernon; sisters Jeannie and Shirley; and his angel baby, Dora.
