Khampoun Saythongphet

Khampoun Saythongphet, 77, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away December 24, 2022 at a local hospital.  A funeral service will be held Friday, December 30^th at 2:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Khampoun was born on July 8, 1945 in Laos to Loat and Bout Keomany.  He was united in marriage to Douang Saythongphet in Laos.  He came to America in 1980 to Des Moines, Iowa and then settled in Sioux City in 1986. He enjoyed going to church and looked forward to seeing his friends. He was very active and loved to jog, go fishing, and cooking.

He was a simple man but always looked his best.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Boualoy Bounket, Oun Saythongphet, Boualihn Vongphachanh, Kouny Saythongphet, Katie Bounket, Johnny Saythongphet; and 13 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
