Laddie C. Godfrey

Laddie C. Godfrey, 45, of Sioux City, IA, passed away November 11, 2021 at a local hospital.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17 at St. Paul’s Indian Mission.  Visitation will start Sunday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. and continue through Tuesday night all at the church.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Laddie was born on March 29, 1976 in Sioux City to Dennis “Bunk” Beavers and Wyota “Wendy” Godfrey.  He was united in marriage to Barbie Craig on July 21, 2019 in Sioux City, IA.  Laddie enjoyed fishing, playing darts and pool, geo cashing and spending time with his family.  He was also a huge Raiders fan.  He loved his fires, sitting talking and chilling.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Barbie Godfrey, Sioux City, IA; his parents, Bunk Beavers and Wendy Godfrey; his children: Colby Godfrey, Joseph (Joey) Leinen, Summer Godfrey, Brayden Godfrey, Jordan Godfrey, Kasia Godfrey, Jasmine Godfrey, Kaylee (Nick) Bertrand, Carralynn Godfrey; his siblings: Harley Godfrey, Sonia Godfrey, Angela Godfrey, Elsie Hines-Esquivel, Bruce Hines, Todd Hines, Tierra Metcalf and Rheanna Beyer

He is preceded in death by his brother Jeffery Godfrey; stepfather, Emery Hines; grandma, Ruth; grandpa Narcesse; grandparents: Burb and Ella (Streeter) Beavers; 3 uncles, 1 aunt; several cousins; and one son in infancy.
