Larry Leo Anderson, 62, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE. Per his wishes, Larry will be cremated following the funeral service. Visitation with the family present will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm, with a vigil service at 7:00 pm at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Larry was born on August 29, 1951 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Leland and Loretta (Uhl) Anderson. He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from East High School with the class of 1971. Following his graduation, Larry entered the United States Army where he served for three years during the Vietnam War.Larry was in sales for Hart Beverage for more than 20 years, followed by Con-Way Freight Company where he was employed at the time of his passing. He was united in marriage with Mary Jo (Bahr) Albrecht on September 4, 2001 in Elk Point, South Dakota.Larry was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He relished the time that he could spend with his wife, family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, of South Sioux City; his children, Kellie Brandenburg and husband Joe of Broomfield, Colorado, Kimberly Oien and her husband, Christian of Watertown, South Dakota, Katie Anderson of Denver, Colorado, Evan Albrecht of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Brooke Anderson of Aurora Colorado, Jenna Albrecht of Sioux City, Iowa, and Chad Anderson of Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by two brothers, Dewaine and his wife, Debby Anderson and Kenneth and his wife, Dawn Anderson; three sisters, Jeannie and her husband, Bob Dolphin, Linda and her husband, Stuart Bowman and Connie and her husband, Gary Zeliadt all of Sioux City, IA; and ten grandchildren.Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
