Larry M. O'Neill

Larry M. O'Neill, 57, of Jackson, NE passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday, March 8th, 2021. Due to COVID, private family services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, Nebraska. Father Andrew Sohm will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Jackson. A Celebration of Life for Larry will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at the Lariat in Jackson, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Larry was born September 5th, 1963 in Sioux City, Iowa; He was the son of J. Erwin and Reta (Leonard) O'Neill. Larry grew up in Willis, NE and graduated from Ponca High School in Ponca, NE. He attended the Auto Body Repair program at Northeast Technical Community college. Larry was an over the road truck driver for most of his life, belonging to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters AFL-CIO. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, quad, and playing pool. The love of his life were his dogs, his family, and his friends. Survivors include his Sisters and brother-in-Law, Dawn O'Neill of Oxnard, CA, Debbie Smith and her husband Doug of Lee's Summit, MO, Larry Jacobson of Wayzata, MN, 3 nieces and a nephew. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Reta;, step mother Marguerite; brother David O’Neill and sister Vickie O'Neill.
