Larry E. Smith

Larry E. Smith 72 of South Sioux City passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.    Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday at St. Michaels’s Catholic Cemetery, followed with military graveside service under the direction of Becker Hunt Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.    Larry was born the 8th child of Bert and Mildred Smith of South Sioux City on March 19, 1946 in Sioux City.           Larry attended rural elementary school and graduated from Allen High School.    Larry served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Omaha as a commercial Illustrator Artist Tech.     Larry is survived by a daughter and son of California; two brothers; Joseph (Lilly) Smith of Allen, NE, Richard Smith of Dakota City, six sisters; Susan Hickman of South Sioux City, Virginia Vomacka of Kent, OH, Laurie (Jerald) Stewart of Waterbury, NE,  Betty Smith of South Sioux City, Mary (Ronald) Meier of Little Canada, MN, Millie (Kenneth) Kruse of Des Moines, and a host of nieces,  nephews and friends.    Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John Smith and Thomas Smith.
