Laura Suzanne Hilton, 44, of South Sioux City, NE died peacefully at her mother's home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Pastor Scott Squires of Crescent Park United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the funeral home.Laura was born in Sioux City, IA on November 30, 1969, the daughter of Gary and Frances (Rasmussen) Hilton. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1988 and attended Stewarts School of Hairstyling. She worked as a nail technician/cosmetologist at Hair by Stewarts and Belle Touche Salon and Day Spa in Sioux City.Laura had a passion for purses, jewelry and her cat, Willy. She also enjoyed watching horror movies and attending Shriner events. She touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her and will be greatly missed.Survivors include her mother, Frances Hilton; sisters, LeAnne (Jim) Schulz and Kris (Shannon) Willson; two nieces, Torri Hilton and Nicole Keegan; a very special great-nephew, Kooper Keegan; her fur baby, Willy; and Troy Baker.Laura was preceded in death by her father, Gary Hilton; grandparents, Walter and Eva Rasmussen and Everett and Joye Hilton.Laura's family would like to express special thanks to the oncology nurses at Mercy, and Drs. Folkert, Vollstedt and Wender.
