Lawrence H. Parrish

Lawrence H. Parrish, 94, of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away June 30, 2020 in Omaha.  A funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial with military honors will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lawrence was born on May 22, 1926 in Decatur, NE to George and Cora (Ray) Parrish.  He was drafted into the United States Army in 1951.  He was united in marriage to Gloria Faye Wevik on June 12, 1960, she preceded him in death in 1990.  Lawrence was very active with the American Legion and Washington Heights Chapel.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Steven Parrish, Sergeant Bluff, IA; daughter, Brenda Blackman, Whiting, IA; grandsons: Tyler Blackman, Des Moines, IA and Travis Blackman, Sioux City, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and several brothers and sisters.
