Born on May 20, 1960, in Allen, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Judy (Larson) Rhodman, Leland dedicated his life to his work as a truck driver, spending many years employed by Darling International Inc. His commitment to his career was matched only by his passion for speed, as he found great joy in dirt track racing, go-cart racing, and following NASCAR events.
Leland attended Allen Schools and always remained proud of his Nebraska heritage. His love for sports extended beyond racing and he was an avid fan of Husker football. Leland enjoyed taking trips to Branson, MO, and was an enthusiastic card player.
Leland leaves behind his children, Steven Rhodman and Stephanie (Alexx) Conyers, both of Sioux City, as well as his cherished grandson, Franklin. He is survived by his brother, Michael Rhodman of Sioux City, and his two sisters, Brenda and Linda Rhodman, who reside in Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Judy Rhodman, and an infant sister, Julie Starling.
