Lennice Anne Carlson, 91, of Sioux City died Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Scott C. Egbers officiating. Private Family Burial will be in Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Lennice was born February 26, 1931, in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of Hilbert and Lula (Grosenheider) McClintock. She graduated from LeMars High School in 1949 and Lutheran School of Nursing in 1952. She was married to Gordon Carlson on January 17, 1954, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. She was employed with the office of Dr. John Henkin’s as his office nurse. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs on WGN, doing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire with her husband, and reading,but most of all, spending time with her family. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include Paul and Julie Carlson; and grandchildren, Paul, Craig (Kina), Danny and Thomas. Two great-granddaughters Noelle and Emma, Two sisters Earline (Gary) Asmussen, MaryLou (C. Robert) Foster, Three nieces Linda, Cathy, and MaryBeth and one nephew Mark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son David Carlson, daughter-in-law Lori Carlson, and granddaughter Anne Carlson.
