Lenore "Billie" Manning, 99, of Laurel, NE passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel, NE.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in rural Allen, NE.Lenore was born in Fort Dodge, IA on August 17, 1915, the daughter of John and Bertha (Minter) Tobey. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1933. She attended Wayne State College in Wayne, NE for one year. Lenore married Warren White on March 29, 1939 in Fort Dodge, IA and they moved to the family farm near Martinsburg, NE. She attended business school, then worked at NE Nebraska Telephone Company in Jackson, NE as a billing clerk. Warren passed away on June 4, 1956. Lenore married Philip Hegstrom on August 9, 1959 in Lawton, IA and they settled in Sioux City, IA. He passed away on May 2, 1991. She then married Larry Manning on April 20, 2007 in Sioux City, IA and he passed away in June of 2009. Lenore moved to Laurel, NE in 2010.She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church of Sioux City and their women's group. After she retired, she loved to travel worldwide with her sister, Leila. She also loved spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, working on crafts and playing cards.Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie (Ellis) Wilbur of Dixon, NE, and Marilyn (Dr. Tedd) Kinney of Billings, MT; grandchildren, Melissa (Bill) Moates, Lara (Matt) Niemann, Dr. Todd (Dr. Amy) Kinney and Thomas Wilbur; great-grandchildren, Briley, Taylor and Chaney Moates, Erica, Hank and Ellise Niemann, and Kaden, Kacelyn, Kolton and Keaton Kinney; and several nieces and nephews.Lenore was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Tobey; a stillborn son; granddaughter, Kierstin Kinney; and two sisters, Leona Radcliffe and Leila Ebersole.
