LeRoy Clifford Riibe

LeRoy Clifford Riibe, 60, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at a local nursing home.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Mohr Funeral Home is South Sioux City.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

LeRoy was born on May 29, 1959 in Sioux City to Glen and Dorothy (Jurgensen) Riibe.  LeRoy worked as a cab driver and dispatcher for Siouxland Taxi and Action Taxi for many years.  He enjoyed reading Westerns and watching Western movies.  Some of his hobbies included taking care of animals, playing the guitar, listening to George Strait, and playing bingo.  LeRoy was a very kind, outspoken and caring man.  If you knew him, you had a friend for life.

Those left to honor his memory include his step-mother, Hazel Riibe, South Sioux City; siblings: Robert (Sue) Riibe, Sioux Falls, SD, Edie (Robert) Jones, KS, Vickie (Doug) Stoddard, Sioux City, Rick Riibe, Sioux City; nephews: Steven Martin Jr., Cherokee, IA, Daniel (Candy) Martin, South Sioux City, and Byron Martin-Stoddard, Sioux City.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a niece, and a nephew.
