Linda Sue Kai, 72, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at her residence, while surrounded by her family and Hospice of Siouxland.Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at River Hills Church in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Omaha Valley Cemetery near Homer, NE. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Linda was born on January 4, 1942 in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of Earl and Laura "Watson" Denman. She attended schools in Kearney, NE. She was united in marriage to Thomas Thiem in 1958 in Kearney, NE; the couple later divorced. Linda moved to South Sioux City in 1975 and served as a title clerk for several different car dealerships in the area. She then became a faithful employee for the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, where she had served for the past 10 years.Linda was an active member of River Hills Church, where she served in various capacities. She also hosted a monthly Bible Study in her home. She cherished the time that she could spend with her family, and enjoyed shopping, attending movies, her trips to Branson, MO, and going to the community theater. She also loved the companionship of her dog, Chester.Linda is survived by her sons, Mike Thiem of North Platte, NE and Troy Thiem and his wife, Marilea of Crete, NE; her daughters, Lori Krause of Clear Lake, IA and Mindy Kramper and her husband, Brian of South Sioux City, NE. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Nelson and her husband, Larry of Omaha.She was preceded in death by her parents.
