Lois A. Choquette, 96, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on January 27, 2021 at Sunrise Retirement. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Lois was born on November 17, 1924 in Sioux City to Otto and Lena (Winter) Dinkel. She attended Central High School. On July 13, 1946 she was united in marriage to Roland Choquette in Sioux City. He preceded her in death in 1991. Lois was employed as a seamstress at Hovland and Aalfs Manufacturing, retiring in 1987. After retirement she continued to work part time until the plant closed. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Roland (Ann) Choquette, Julianne (Jerry) Peterson, Mike (Mary) Choquette, Barbara Lewis; special friend, Kathy Banys all of Sioux City, IA; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and her Sunrise family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings; and son-in-law, Doug Lewis.
