Mable J. Hall, 87, of South Sioux City, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mable was born the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Diehl) Ravenstorff on June 4, 1933 in Newport, Nebraska. She married Doyle L. Hall on January 6, 1950 in Butte, Nebraska. After their marriage they moved to South Sioux City and spent their lives in Siouxland. Doyle passed away July 18, 2012.
After the kids were in school, Mable worked at the Howard Johnson Hotel for over 20 years.
She will be fondly remembered as a woman of faith and a loving mother. She loved her large family dearly and nothing came before her children and grandchildren. Hosting all the holidays at her home gave her great joy. She was an avid reader and loved her cats. She also enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley, singing, dancing, and crocheting.
Mable is survived by her children, Rick Hall of South Sioux City, Dennis Hall of Laramie, Wyoming, Jim (Margaret) Hall of Laramie, Wyoming, Maxine (Bob) Barber of Bullhead City, Arizona, Cindy Benson of Sioux City, Gary Hall of South Sioux City, Deb (Doug) Utech of Sioux City, and Crystal (Phil) Keller of Sioux City; sister, Maxine Kingsley of Sioux City; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle; son, Marvin; and siblings, Marge, Mildred, and Dick.
