Marcella L. Cooper

Marcella L. Cooper, 85, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, Iowa.  Meyer Brothers Morningside is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Marcella was born on July 7, 1937 in Little Rock, IA to Otto and Bena (Willemssen) Bos.  After graduating high school, she went onto nurses training at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.  She began her career at Mercy Medical Center as R.N. in the Emergency Room, for over 40 years.  She was united in marriage to Richard Cooper on February 11, 1997.  Marcella loved her job and taking care of others.  She enjoyed reading, eating popcorn, and sewing. Making her children many outfits throughout the years.  Marcella, being born on a lucky date, would frequently play slots.  Her and her nurse friends would travel together to trips to Las Vegas.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband Richard Cooper, Sioux City, IA; children: Stephenie (Kris) Eastman, Salix, IA, Cynthia A. (Scott) Pederson, Runnells, IA, Eric H. (Irene) Palmer, Lafayette, IN; brothers: Arnold, Donald and Bernard Bos; 3 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
