Marcella "Peg" Roberts

Marcella “Peg” Roberts, 88, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery.

Marcella was born to Cornelius and Henrietta Navin on September 2, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She died March, 15, 2022.  She attended St. Boniface Grade School and Heelan High School graduating in 1952.

She married John “Tom” Roberts Dec. 22, 1951.  She retired in 1988 after working as a bookkeeper for 33 years. 

Marcella enjoyed being with her family and traveling.  In addition, she spent many hours doing ceramics and crocheting. She found great joy in being of service to others as evidenced by her being a member of Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society.  In addition, she volunteered at Holy Spirit, Queen of Peace, funeral luncheons, and Goodfellows.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, and numerous other beloved family members.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy (Monty) Montagne, Council Bluffs and Marge (Jim) Crayne, Sioux City; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
