Marcia A. Kreider, 63, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 1-2 pm with potluck to follow Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1201 W. Clifton, in Sioux City. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
Marcia Ann, the daughter of Emil and Nadine (Collins) Kliment, was born November 8, 1957 in Rapid City, SD. Marcia’s early years were spent between Rapid City and Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.
Marcia married Loren Shoop and two children, Theresa and Christie, were born to this union. Marcia and Loren later divorced.
In the 1980’s, Marcia met David Kreider and they were blessed with three children: Matthew, Zachary, and Yvonne. After many years of being together, Marcia and David were united in marriage on May 8, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In her younger years, Marcia worked at Palmer Candy and Cloverleaf then became a stay-at-home mom. In later years, she worked at USA Steak Buffett.
Marcia enjoyed reading books, doing crossword puzzles, and being outdoors. She truly loved her animals especially her cats. Above all, Marcia cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her five children: Theresa Morales (Timothy Woitte), Christie Shoop, Matthew Kreider, Zachary (Judith) Kreider, and Yvonne Kreider; two grandchildren: Eliya and Javier Morales and baby grandson Gatlin Kreider due this July; mother, Nadine Kliment; and six siblings: Bruce, Thomas, Keith, Lyle, Scott, and Yvonne.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emil; husband, David; and one daughter in infancy, Christina Shoop.
Marcia was a shining example of love and compassion and will truly be missed by any and all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
