Margaret Bauman

Margaret Bauman, 74 of South Sioux City, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 after a well-fought battle with cancer.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Dakota City, Nebraska with Reverend Abby Caseman officiating.  A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Margaret was born on February 11, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa to Carl and Alta Shupe.  She graduated with the Class of 1966 from Westwood High School in Sloan, Iowa.  Margaret married Dennis Bauman on January 27, 1968 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in South Sioux City.  She lived her life entirely in Siouxland. 

Margaret was a Para Educator within the Kindergarten classroom at Cardinal Elementary School in South Sioux City.  She was a proud member of the United Methodist Church in Dakota City.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Lisa (Les) Love of Omaha, granddaughter Lindsie (Cody) Dryden, grandson Logan Love, great-grandchildren Miles and Remi Dryden, sisters Vera (Morey) Copple, Nancy (Joe) Shelley, and Debbie (Ken) Paulsen.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dennis in June of 2016, daughter Jill Marie, 10 brothers, and 5 sisters.
