Margaret “Margie” Beeson, 92, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Heritage of Northern Hills. Per her wishes, private family services will be held. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Margie was born on July 12, 1930 in Sioux City, the daughter of Errol and Golda (Swoyer) Foerster. She was a lifelong resident of Sioux City, and graduated from Central High School in 1948. She went on to attend Briar Cliff College, and worked as a teacher for Blessed Sacrament and St. Boniface in Sioux City.
On November 22, 1951 she married George T. Beeson at Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City. Together, the couple raised four children. George passed away on September 30, 2016 in Sioux City.
Margie was a member of Morningside Assembly of God church, and was involved in P.E.O, Women’s Aglow, and volunteered at the Sioux City Public Museum.
Left to cherish her memory include her children: Thomas and Patricia Beeson of Miles City, MT; Debbie Arickx of Wayne, NE; David and Josie Beeson of Cottage Grove, MN; and Scott Beeson of Taos, NM; five grandchildren: Laura, Emily (Will), Joseph, Corissa, and David; three special great-grandchildren: Ellen, Flynn, and Briar; and her brother, John Foerster (Carole) of Chicago Heights, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; and a son-in-law, Chuck Arickx.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Heritage of Northern Hills for their loving care of Margie, as well as to the Hospice of Siouxland caregivers who watched over Margie for the past year. Their support was extraordinary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margie’s name to Hospice of Siouxland.
