Margaret T. Greenwade

   Margaret T. Greenwade, 92, of Sioux City passed away with her three daughters by her side on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her residence.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Friday, August 20, 2021 at Holy Cross Parish, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City with Father Peter Nguyen, Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Graceland Park Cemetery.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

   Margaret Teresa, the daughter of Martin and Ellen (O’Toole) Cullen, was born August 14, 1929 in Enniscorthy, Ireland.  She grew up in Ireland and attended Catholic school.  At age 17, she moved to England to work as a nanny.  While in England, she met Bernard O. Greenwade who was serving in the United States Air Force.  They were married on September 6, 1952 in England and this union was blessed with four children.  In August of 1954, Margaret and Bernard moved back to the States and they made their home in several different communities while he continued serving in the military.  During this time, Margaret was a busy homemaker and also worked outside the home.  In 1990, Margaret and Bernard moved to Sioux City and he passed away on October 30, 2002.

   Margaret enjoyed cooking, gardening, and decorating.  She also enjoyed going to the casino and was a master of the slot machines.  She was proud of her Catholic faith and she enjoyed attending Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church.

   Margaret is survived by three daughters: Linda Greenwade and husband Joseph Carnuccio of La Jolla, CA, Donna Bulgier and husband Jim of Springdale, AR, and Erin Blom and husband Brian of Sioux City, IA; daughter-in-law, Valentine Greenwade of Roy, UT; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; son, Glenn; and several siblings.

   Margaret touched a lot of lives and will be missed by many.

   Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel assisted with arrangements.
