Margie C. Benson, 77, of North Sioux City, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021.  Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. 

Margie was born the daughter of Minor and Eidth (Dooley) Riibe on May 2, 1944 in Coleridge, Nebraska.  She attended Wynot school then later moved to North Sioux  City and married Lloyd Benson.  She later remarried February 13th 1997 to Gene Rose. 

She worked for Zenith until it closed and then was a nursing aid at South Sioux City care centers until her retirement. 

She enjoyed bingo and going to casinos.  Her favorite game was Keno.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Margie is survived by her children, John Hansen of Sioux City, Michael (Levenda) Hansen of Sioux City, Stacy (Kevin Davis) Benson of Sioux City, Misty (Clayton Mace) Benson of Jefferson, Joline (Richie Rasmussen) Benson of McCook Lake and Shelly (Brian Kelly) Wold of Sioux City; nieces, Linda Scott, and Vickie Stoddard of Sioux City; and nephews, Rick (Lori) Wynn of Sioux City, Roger(Janett) Tripp of North Sioux City, Butch (Stephanie Harper) of Leavenworth, Duane (Terry) Tripp of Sioux City, Bob Riibe of Sioux Falls, Ricky Riibe of Sioux City; and many grandchildren, Aaron (Erica) Hansen of Yankton, Blake Rose of Sioux City, Tasha (Shaii Hayes) Boulware of South Sioux City, Kayla (Dan) Capers of McCook Lake, John Vital of Omaha, Brandi (Justin) Brandt, of Sioux City, Michael (Jaquline) Morton of Sioux City, Nikki Reynolds of Sioux City, and Kimberly, Jessica, and Mercedes Hansen all of Sioux City; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Minor and Eidth Riibe; husbands, Lloyd Benson and Gene Rose; brothers, John and Glen Riibe; sisters, Rita Ann Wynn and Norma Riibe; sisters-in-law, Sissy and Hazel Riibe; brother-in-law, Virgil Garry Wynn; nephews, LeRoy Riibe and Virgil Roland Wynn; niece, Edie Jones; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hansen; and son-in-law, Jerry Jones.
