Margo A. Smith

Margo A. Smith, 63, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at a Sioux City hospital.Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at River Hills Church in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Visitation with the family present will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Margo was born on September 2, 1953 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Langseth) Kampfe. She attended South Sioux City Schools. Margo married Ralph Smith on November 3, 1972 in Elk Point, SD. She worked at APEX and Walmart in South Sioux City.She enjoyed fishing, camping, baking bubble bread and cooking for her family. Her family was her pride and joy and she especially enjoyed spending time with them, and taking care of her dog, "Big Al".Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Ralph Smith; a daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Lambing; granddaughter, Ashley Smith; great-grandson, Malachi Weddle; siblings, Gary (Colleen) Kampfe, Cheryl (Daniel) Hutchins, Judy Engel, Barb (Jay) Bowman, Beverly (Kenny) Smith; and many nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Alice Kampfe; brothers, Larry, Kerry and Terry; a nephew, Danny Hutchins; and niece, Georgia Hughes.
