Marian A. Remer

Marian A. Remer, 90, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Michael Catholic Church.  Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  

Marian was born the daughter of Daniel E. and Anna (Lynn) Beeson on November 2, 1930 in Salix, Iowa.  She married Robert J. “Bob” Remer on May 11, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa.  After their marriage they made their lifelong home in Leeds.  Bob died in 2006.

Marian enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing and traveling to California to visit her sister.

She was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Marian is survived by her children, Steven (Jackie) Remer of Homer, Nebraska and Laura (Russ) Stolp of Glenwood, Minnesota; grandchildren, Steven, Jr. and Corey Remer, Amanda Pence, and Kyle, Andrew, and Mitchell Rohde; and 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; brothers, Eddie, Leo, and Raymond; and sisters, Veronica and MaryAnn.
