Marie Ann Taylor, 62, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on March 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born on August 4, 1962, to John Jr. and Mary (Pope) Corio. She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School and Briar Cliff University. Marie dedicated 44 years of service to MercyOne, beginning in X-ray before becoming Sioux City’s first MRI Technologist and later managing the department.

On August 18, 1990, she married the love of her life, Dean Taylor. Marie cherished time spent with family and friends, being outdoors and boating, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Jr., and her mother-in-law, Joyce Taylor. She is survived by her mother, Mary Corio; father-in-law, Bernard (Bunny) Taylor; siblings John (Kathryn), Theresa (Tony), and Tom (Jaclyn); nieces and nephews Anna (Kyle), John, Zachary, Michelle, Madison, Maria (Nick), and Catherine; great-nephew, Alonzo; and great-niece, Mary.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 29, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s in Jefferson, SD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
