Marilyn May Fox

Marilyn M. Fox, 97, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on July 14, 2021.

A private service was held on July 16, 2021 and Marilyn was placed to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.

Marilyn was born on June 21, 1924 in Sioux City along with her twin sister and lifelong confidant Marie. Following graduation from Central High School, the "Castle on the Hill", Marilyn married the love of her life, Mel Fox, on April 20, 1946 and was just shy of her 69th wedding anniversary at the time of Mel's passing in 2015.

Marilyn was a loyal and trusted asset to many successful businesses including Systems Unlimited, an office systems business owned by Mel and Marilyn that operated in several Midwest states. Marilyn was very proud of being one of the original employees at Bomgaars Supply when it was first opened on Pearl Street in Sioux City and her lifelong friendship with Bill, Harold and Mary Bomgaars.

Marilyn's greatest joys in life were her two sons, Jack and Terry, her granddaughter Jacklyn and her family, along with everyone's favorite pup Sophie.

Marilyn is survived by her son Terry Fox, granddaughter Jacklyn Fox, son in law Todd Peterson and great grandchildren Callie, Raelyn and Beckett. 

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mel Fox, son Jack Fox, and sister Marie Fleckenstein. Marilyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
