Marjorie K. Nolen, 89, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 11 AM at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Marjorie was born on November 16, 1929 in Roberts County, South Dakota to Joseph and Francis (Cordie) Cooper. She was united in marriage to James R. “Blue” Nolen Sr. on April 15, 1947 in Sisseton, S.D. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2010. Marjorie enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
She is survived by five sons, James (Jodi) Nolen Jr. of McCook Lake, S.D., Joe (Cindy) Nolen of Sioux City, Richard (Marie) Nolen of Sioux City, David (Judy) Nolen of Wilson, N.C., and Mike (Lori) Rose of Sioux City; one daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Hageman of Sioux City, 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Francis Cooper; husband; daughter, Theresa Jovanovic; brothers, Verlan Cooper, Curtis Cooper; sister, Mary Ann Biggerstaff; and grandson, Corey Nolen.
