Marvin L. Muirhead, 68, of South Sioux City, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020. A memorial visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.
Marvin was born the son of Norman and Nelda (Keller) Muirhead on September 25, 1951 in Valentine, Nebraska. He graduated from Valentine High School and later Chadron State College. Marvin married Kathy Clausen on August 20, 1972 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. They have made their home in South Sioux City since 1976.
He worked for his father-in-law’s company, Clausen Electric then for Addison Electric, before starting his own business, Marv’s Electric.
Marv enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to fish, hunt, boat, and camp, especially at the Sandhills. He was a wonderful artist and woodworker. He really loved his family, his grandchildren, and his cowboy boots.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Kathy Muirhead of South Sioux City; daughters, Brandi (Jeremiah) Johnson of South Sioux City, Lindsay (Chris) Tworek of Omaha, and Lacey (Eddie) Hernandez of South Sioux City; brothers, Neal (Joyce) Muirhead of Valentine and Wayne (Sandy) Muirhead of Gordon; and grandchildren, Chase, Bailey, Ian, Rylie, Noah, Emmy, Liam, and Breccan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
