Mary Ann Wilson

   Mary Ann Wilson, 78, of Sioux City passed away on March 15, 2022.

   Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave.) in Sioux City with Pastor Priscilla Hukki officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.

   Mary Ann, the daughter of Everett and Sena (Twite) Lundquist, was born September 9, 1943 in Sioux City.  She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Leeds High School in 1961.  Following graduation, Mary Ann worked as a waitress at the Chuck Wagon.  While working there, she met her future husband Robert “Bob” E. Wilson.  They were united in marriage on October 20, 1962 at Trimble United Methodist Church in Sioux City and this union was blessed with two sons.  The family made their home in Sioux City and Mary Ann was a homemaker while the children were growing up.  In 1992, Mary Ann and Bob moved from their home in Sioux City to an acreage off of C-80.  In 1995, she started working as a lab technician for Brower Construction which later became Knife River.  She continued working until 2009.

   Mary Ann enjoyed bowling and served as a secretary for several bowling leagues.  In addition, she also enjoyed golfing, going to car shows, gambling, and spending time at their summer home in Spirit Lake.

   Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Wilson of Sioux City; two sons: Robert “Bob” (Tisha) Wilson of Sioux City and James (Dee) Wilson of Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren: Rob Wilson, Ryan (Nikki) Wilson, Trevor Wilson, and Brooke Wilson; three step grandchildren: Ellie (Derek) Weiler, Sophie Alfson, and Samuel Alfson; one great grandson, Noah Wilson; two brothers: Dennis Lundquist and Darrell (Evelyn) Lundquist; one sister, Mae Kilker; and other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister-in-law, Roberta Lundquist; and one brother-in-law, Ed Kilker.
