Mary E. Beldin, 91, of Dakota City, NE passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.Memorial services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Carol Jean Stapleton officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery in rural Homer, NE.Mary was born on April 20, 1925 in rural Homer, NE, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (Leedom) O'Dell. She grew up in rural Homer and graduated from Homer High School in 1938. Mary married Dale Beldin on May 26, 1946 in Newcastle, NE. She operated a housecleaning business for many years. Dale passed away on January 4, 1996.She was a loving mom and grandmother. She loved cooking and family get-togethers, and was an avid Bingo player.Survivors include her children, Judy Launsby of South Sioux City, NE, Tom Beldin and Julie Mosier of South Sioux City, NE and LeRoy (Loretta) Beldin of Sheldon, IA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Jerry (Roberta) O'Dell of McCook Lake, SD; half-sister, Kathy Nuttall of Council Bluffs, IA; and many nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Beldin; her parents, Thomas and Grace O'Dell; half-brother, Clyde O'Dell; brother, Mike O'Dell; and sisters, Nadine Lewan and Darlene Groves.
