Mary Freeman

Mary Freeman, 93, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at a Sioux City hospital.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, Nebraska with Pastor Sara Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Ainsworth Cemetery in Ainsworth, Nebraska at a later date.Mary was born in Swindon, England on November 29, 1915 to Tom and Mary Kane. She married Eugene Freeman, Sr. on May 12, 1950 in Maryland. The couple lived in Wakefield and Ainsworth, Nebraska. Eugene passed away in October of 1986. Mary moved to Ponca in 2004. She was a housewife. She enjoyed knitting.Survivors include one son, Gene and his wife, Teresa Freeman of Palm Bay, Florida; one granddaughter, Rhonda Criddle and great-grandchildren, Spencer and Kristie Criddle all of Ponca, Nebraska.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eugene.
