Mary Kathryn (Jauron) Oakley, 74, of Sioux City passed away June 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by the love of her life and her family.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Mary grew up a devoted Catholic. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1967. She met Ed Oakley on the loop and loved his fast car, often telling him to go faster. In the couple’s earlier years, they enjoyed dancing the night away. Once married in 1968, Mary settled into the life of being a wife and new mother in 1969. She was a fun soul who loved to travel with her husband and their family. She also enjoyed mowing alongside Ed at the couple’s lawncare business, Ed’s Lawn Service.
Mary is survived by her husband and love of her life, Ed Oakley; children: Daniel (Melissa) Oakley, Kristy (Ryan) Whitney, Karrie (Jason) Oakley; grandchildren: Ashley (Zackiery) Rysavy, Jacob (Brittnie) Oakley, Kale (Madison) Provost, Taylor (Camrin) Bell, Kylie Oakley-Matousek; great grandchildren: Blake, Grace, and Lillian Johnson, and Baby Bell due in 2023; siblings: Madonna (Roger), Kevin (Theresa), Michelle (Don); Sister-in-law Peggy Dreckman; brothers-in-law: Perry Fick and Rod Klemke; and many nieces and nephews.
She was met at Heaven’s gates by her loving parents Raymond and Virginia Jauron, her in-laws Elwood and Lorraine Oakley, infant brother Mark, sisters-in-law: Sherry Klemke and Denise Fick, brothers-in-law Roger Mastne, Kenny Dreckman, Gary Oakley, and Donald Oakley.
