Matthew Garth Foreman, 57, of Sioux City passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at MercyOne Hospital after a long illness.
Matthew was born and raised in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1982.
Pete’s 20th and the patronage there became his very own “Cheers” as he was a bartender there for close to 30 years. For almost as long, Trivia League at Point After gave him great pride as he has dozens of certificates validating his team’s winning expertise.
As a history buff, Matthew immensely enjoyed travels to Athens, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; and the Netherlands. For fun, nothing could beat the Kentucky Derby or a Caribbean Island.
Matthew’s greatest gift was his genuine and compassionate ability to listen and converse with anyone.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lee Foreman in 1990. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Foreman of Sioux City; brothers Mark (Kathy) Foreman of Geddes, South Dakota; sister Robin (Mark) Baughman of Tarpon Springs, Florida; 3 nephews; 5 great-nieces and nephews; and Wilson.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will not be a funeral. He wanted everyone to know that he really has had a WONDERFUL LIFE.
