Maxine L. Satterwhite

Maxine L. Satterwhite, 90, of Dakota City, NE passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at a local care center.Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery in Dakota City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the funeral home.Maxine was born on February 4, 1928 in Dakota City, NE, the daughter of Edwin and Verlie (Jones) Olson. She was a lifelong resident of Dakota City. Maxine married Robert Satterwhite on October 14, 1948 at South Sioux City. Five children were born to this union. Bob passed away on March 25, 1996.Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, flower gardening, taking care of her lawn, and caring for her dogs, Kirby and Loki.Survivors include her children, Sharon (Edward) Risner of Dakota City, Bonnie (Bob) Olson of Sioux City and Ricky (Pamela) Satterwhite of Dakota City; daughter-in-law, Alanna Satterwhite; grandchildren, Candace (Bob) Rose, Lowell J. Satterwhite, Jr., Eddie (Marci) Risner, Teresa (Michael) Waybright, Lesley Perera, Ronald Perera, Jr., Jenny (Jessie) Robinson, Ryan Perera, Aaron, Brooke and Robert Satterwhite, Jerry (Benita) Yacevich, Jackie Mazurek, Jody Longie; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Geneva Fuchser; and sisters-in-law, Helen and Phyllis Olson.She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Verlie Olson; her husband, Bob; children, Lowell and Marilyn; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Martin Kraft; brothers, Marvin and Melvin Olson; and brother-in-law, Paul Fuchser.
